Ayesha Hakim is a poetess, activist, and women’s advocate with a lifelong vision to grant a voice to the voiceless.

Through heartfelt poetic storytelling, she also strives to uplift, inspire, and heal women from all walks of life. Dealing with the onslaught of childhood trauma during her life’s journey, poetry is what helped her overcome that hardship and it’s what empowers her to help others overcome theirs.

However, poetic activist extraordinaire isn’t the only hat she wears in this life.

Ayesha is also a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a grandmother. Furthermore, she is a voracious researcher (of spiders and genealogy in particular), theater producer, and the Co-founder of SoJust. On top of all that, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a Human Rights minor. During her free time, Ayesha loves playing make-believe with her amazing grandchildren and exploring everything this beautiful planet has to offer (pre-pandemic).

Ayesha Hakim’s debut poetry collection, "Message from the Daughters” is only the brink of her poetic legacy, so expect more empowering creations in the near future..
